The Last Remnant Developer Interview

Gaming website GameSpy has conducted an interview with the development team that's behind The Last Remnant. The team basically admits the game is being released for the Xbox 360 first due to longer development time that's required on the PlayStation 3 version.

The Last Remnant coming this Winter

Microsoft has held an RPG press conference and announced that The Last Remnant will be released this winter on the Xbox 360. The release in Japan, North America and Europe release occur simultaneously.

Microsoft has also confirmed that new info about the game will be given during the upcoming E3.

Gameplayer's Last Remnant preview

Australian gaming website Gameplayer has published its Last Remnant preview. Here's a snippet from the article:

"Central to the game’s battle-system is the Morale meter at the top of the screen, divided between friend and foe and dependent on the number of troops currently active in the field. Higher morale means support troops work better, unifying attacks for potentially fatal blows. But start losing troops - and therefore morale - and you may need to call reinforcements. And from what we’ve seen so far, reinforcements range from other troop units to summoned monsters (similar to those in Final Fantasy) that can deal devastating one-hit blows to the opposing forces."

Website updates

The Last Remnant.info has been updated with a lot of new information today. Almost every page has been updated, including the Screenshots, Scans and Trailers pages. I've also added new pages:

· Remnants
· Staff Voice
· Prologue

Square Enix's Staff Voice feature had its last update today, and it's worth reading the last column written by game director Nobuyuki Ueda.

By the way, in his column Mr. Ueda has confirmed that a new trailer, screenshots and information are on their way to the public, so stay tuned!

The last time Square Enix has released screenshots of The Last Remnant was during Tokyo Game Show 2007. Today the company has finally released 10 beautiful screenshots of the game, but they are all taken from the TGS trailer which can be downloaded at this website.

Square Enix has released an HD version of The Last Remnant's TGS 2007 trailer. It's great and mostly features in-game graphics. A must see!
